Having a committed photographer helps ensure that all the big moments are captured, along with the small ones. All the candid smiles and glossy eyed family and friends, empty venues set up full of chairs and anticipation, settings and smiles, and every other magical moment. However with the huge task of capturing all of this, and the weeks of shut away office hours spent editing the whole story from beginning to end, this is an expensive endeavor. 

A wonderful new commonplace trend is for the happy couple to ask for donations in lieu of traditional gifts, as it makes the task of paying for their big day so much easier. Venues and photography are usually the biggest chunks and hardest to cover, and both are of huge significance to the couple.
